FAQ
Delicious, Healthy Dining in the Comfort of Your Own Home
"What is the difference between a Personal Chef and a Private Chef?"
A private chef is employed solely by one individual or family full time, often "living in" and preparing 3 meals per day. A personal chef serves several clients and provides multiple meals that are custom designed for the client's particular requests and requirements. These meals are packaged and stored so that the client may enjoy them at their leisure in the future.
"Who uses a Personal Chef?"
There are many different kinds of people who choose to use a personal chef:
- busy professionals who don't have time to manage meal preparation
- stressed out families with hectic schedules
- people who hate to cook but love good food
- seniors who want to maintain their independent living
"What kind of food can be prepared for me?"
Your menu is tailored to your taste and budget after a personal consultation. Although we do offer a large selection of standard menu choices, there are hundreds of meals to choose from. It all depends on what you like and when you'd like to have it!
"Do you cook in my kitchen?"
Yes, we prepare your meals in your own kitchen on an agreed upon cooking date. We bring all the fresh ingredients for your meals, along with our own pots, pans and utensils to your house and prepare your meals.
"How long does it take?"
It depends on the number of meals you select. Generally, since all meals are made from scratch, it usually takes several hours, but we are willing to work with your schedule.
"How are the meals packaged?"
The meals can be packaged in individual serving containers or family style. The choice is yours.
"How do I serve the meals?"
All entrees stored in your refrigerator just need to be heated. Entrees stored in the freezer should be defrosted overnight in the fridge. Labels with easy-to-follow heating instructions will be left with each meal.
